Leading studies suggest that a banana a day can keep the cardiologist away. But ironically, this wasn't so for actor Rahul Bose who recently had to endure a small shock at a plush hotel in Chandigarh. It so happened that Rahul ordered two bananas while working out at the gym. Once back in his room, Rahul saw that the bananas had been kept on the table along with the bill. Taking to Twitter, Rahul revealed what followed next. Turns out, Rahul Bose ended up paying Rs 442.50 for two bananas! So, next time you want to order a banana in a hotel, think again!
Luxury comes at a price and sometimes, it can get too shocking for even the biggest of Bollywood stars. Actor Rahul Bose, who is currently in Chandigarh shooting for a film, is staying at one of the city's high-end hotel. But while everything about it looks pretty from the outside, Rahul's latest post has left the internet in shock and many users in uncontrollable laughter. 
In his latest tweet, Rahul shared a video which he had recorded at the hotel. In the video, the actor first offers fans a glimpse of the suite he is staying at. He goes on to show fans the "elegant freebies" including chocolate cookies and beautiful flowers. But forget this, says Rahul, as he reveals the cost of two bananas in the hotel. 
The actor shares that he was working out in a gym when he asked for two bananas and goes on to show the bill. Priced at 442.50, the bill of the "fruit platter" included CGST and UTGST. "You have to see this to believe it. Who said fruit wasn’t harmful to your existence?" read his post. He had further added hashtags like "#goingbananas", "#howtogetfitandgobroke" and "#potassiumforkings" in his tweet.

Soon after Rahul posted the video on social media, several internet users couldn't help but drop some hilarious comments on the same. Comments like "Might be these bananas are last in the city", "That's so funny. What humans are upto? Where the world is heading up?" and "Jitna gst diya gya itne me 1dozen Banana aajae" were spotted on Rahul's post.
But while some of them laughed, a few members of the hospitality industry empathised with the hoteliers and shared that it's a norm.
