Prashant Singh reveals it was Sidharth Malhotra who came up with the title ‘Jabariya Jodi’

 alhotra and Parineeti Chopra are gearing up for the release of their upcoming film Jabariya Jodi. Directed by Prashant Singh, the film will focus on the concept of pakadwa vivah (groom kidnapping), which is a very serious problem prevailing in Bihar.

In a Mid-Day report, director Prashant said that Sidharth and Parineeti will meet real-life couples of pakadwa vivah from all over the country, who were forced to marry each other by their parents. The director said that many such jodis have connected with the team after the trailer and are happy to see that this issue is being highlighted in cinema.

"The response to the trailer and songs has been great, and many such jodis have connected with us and are happy that we're bringing this issue to light. Though the film has a comical treatment, we are also highlighting the decade-long practice of forced marriages. Since many instances of groom kidnapping have been incorporated in the film, we decided to organise an interactive session between these real jodis and our reel jabariya jodi to start a conversation around this subject," he told the newspaper.

Jabariya Jodi also stars Jaaved Jaaferi and Aparshakti Khurana in key roles. The film is set to hit the screens on August 2 and will clash with Sonakshi Sinha's Khandaani Shafakhana at the box office.

Meanwhile, this is not the first time that filmmakers have touched the issue of forced marriages. In 2010, director Sushil Rajpal's film Antardwand, which starred Raj Singh Chaudhary in a lead role, was a realistic take on the practice of 'pakadwa vivah'.

‘Jabariya Jodi’

 is one of the highly anticipated movies of 2019. The film was earlier scheduled to release in May, then the date got pushed forward to July 12 and now the makers have decided to drop it on August 2. Now after the concrete release date of the movies, the audience is waiting for the trailer of the movie to come out, and reportedly the makers have marked the calendar for the same.

Reportedly, a source has informed that the makers are planning to unveil the promo next week. The source also added that a big event on July 1st is in the plans, and there can be a launch for the fans.

Revolving around the subject of groom kidnapping, ‘Jabariya Jodi’ will be featuring Sidharth as a Bihari goon. Alongside Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra, the movie also stars

Judgemental Hai Kya motion poster: Rajkummar Rao wields a knife

Even as the first song of the film continues to be a hit with the audience, makers of Judgemental Hai Kya released a fresh motion poster of the film, teasing fans with Rajkummar Rao in the new video.

Rajkummar holds a knife as the poster moves into a full picture and challenging us ‘she is driving me mental, go ahead be judgemental’. The film has been directed by Prakash Kovalamudi.Judgemetal Hai Kya is based on a murder and how a young man Keshav, played by Rajkummar Rao, is involved in it. The film also features Brijendra Kala, Jimmy Shergill, Amyra Dastur among others. It is slated to hit theatres on July 26

A lot is being reported about the debate that ensued between our film JudgeMentall Hai Kya’s actor and journalist Justin Rao, at the film’s song launch event on July 7th, 2019. Unfortunately, the event took an unpleasant turn.

While the people involved in it fairly held their own perspectives but because it happened at the event of our film, we, as the producers, would like to apologize and express regret for this untoward incident.

We would like to maintain that our intention was not to disrespect or hurt anyone’s sentiments.

Our film JudgeMentall Hai Kya releases on July 26th and we urge the media to not let this one incident hamper the team effort that has gone behind making the film.

The first song from  Kangana Ranautand Rajkummar Rao’s upcoming film Judgemental Hai Kya,titled The Wakhra Song, has been unveiled online. A teaser of the song was earlier shown at the song launch function in Mumbai on Sunday.

Sharing the song online, the film’s producer Ekta Kapoor wrote: “Dey r here 2 drop d swag #TheWakhraSongOutNow”

The song is a remake version of Badshah and Navv Inder’s hit 2015 song Wakhra Swag and shows the lead actors matching dance steps and>

Composed by Tanishk Bagchi and choreographed by Bosco Martis, the song has been sung by Navv Inder, Lisa Mishra and American-Indian rapper Raja Kumari.

Judgemental Hai Kya, earlier called Mental Hai Kya, will hit the screens on July 26. At the launch, Kangana had got into an argument with reporters present at the function. She had been upset with some of the reviews that her previous film, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, had received. She blamed one of the reporters for running a “smear campaign” against her and further accused him of calling her film “jingoistic”. He was heard saying that ‘you cannot do this’.
